Revaz Tchantouria’s main research interests are in contrasting and exploring similarities between the Caucasian, in particular the Kartvelian, languages and the Basque language. This was the field of his PhD dissertation at Tbilisi State University, and he has persued it in many following publications.
Dr Tchantouria has been employed at Tbilisi State Universisty in Georgia and later at Lund University and Malmö University in Sweden.
