Dr Janashia has a background in journalism and has a specific research interest in mass communication
Nana Janashia, holds a PhD in Social Sciences with a profile in Mass Communication. She is a journalist by profession, graduated from Ivane Javakhishvili TSU Faculty of Journalism. She is lecturing at Ivane Javakhishvili TSU and works actively as a press journalist. Her works have been published in Georgia, Great Britain and the United States of America. Nana Janashia has been awarded the Georgia TV Prize as the author of the best article of the year. She is the author of many articles and academic publications. She has published the pamphlet “Sadness Born in the Sun” on the theme of Abkhazia, which was declared one of the best works written on this theme. During the years when she lived and studied in the United States, she regularly published articles from the USA in the Georgian press. Here, she also completed a course on American culture at the University of Massachusetts. Dr Janashia has visited Sweden and the Center for Caucasian Studies at Malmö University to get practical experience. She has participated in many international scientific conferences.
ნანა ჯანაშია, სოციალური მეცნიერების დოქთორი მასობრივ კომუნიკაციაში. პროფესიით ჟურნალისთი. დაამთავრებული აქვს ივანე ჟავახიშვილის სახელობის თსუ ჟურნალისიკის ფაკულტეტი და დღემდე მუშაობს პრესის ჟურნალისტად. მისი სტატყიები გამოქვეყნებულია როგორცსაქართველოში, ასევე დიდ ბრიტანეთში და ამერიკის შეერთებულ შტატებში. მიღებული აქვს საქარტველოს ტელევიზიის პრიზი, როგორც წლის საუკეთესო სტატიის ავტორს. არის მრავალი ჟურნალისთური და აკადემიური პუბლიკაციის ავტორი. გამოცემული აქვს აფხაზეთის თემაზე ბროშურა “მზეში შობილი სევდა”, რომელიც გამოცხადდა ამ თემაზე შექმნილ ნაწარმოებთა შორის ერთ-ერთ საუკეთესოდ და ლექსების კრებული “ისარი”. ამერიკის შეერთებულ შტატებში ცხოვრების და სწავლების წლებში სისტემატურად აქვეყნებდა ქართული პრესაში აშშ-დან სტატიებს. მასაჩუსეთსის უნივერსსიტეტში გავლილი აქვს ამერიკის კულტურის კურსი. იმყოფებოდა შვედეთში მალმეს უნივერსიტეტის კავკასიოლოგიის ცენტრში პრაქტიკუი გამოცდილების მისაღებად. მონაწილეობა აქვს მიღებული საერთაშორისო სამეცნიერი კონფერენციებში.
